FLOCK FLIES SOUTH

The pat of flamingos, a dozen in all, flew south from the Lopez residence to settle on the beautifully groomed front lawn of Matt and Nellie Smith last Sunday night.

They were spotted by Nellie Smith when she opened the front door to let in the cool night air after a long, hot summer day.

"Matthew," she gasped, "there are BIRDS on the front lawn!"

After their long flight and series of stops, the flamingos were given a nice, refreshing shower this morning, as you can see in the photos, below.

The pat has been providing much entertainment to the elementary school-aged children in the neighborhood.  Wonder how long they'll stay this time, before flying off again!
